AIMS AND OBJECTIVES.
The “CHEŁM” Housing Cooperative in Gdańsk was set up on September 19, 1979 and is one of the largest cooperatives in Gdańsk. It owns 154 multi-family buildings built between 1980 and 2010 and located across 5 administrative units. The buildings are powered with grid heating by local supplier GPEC Gdańsk.
In 2014 the Cooperative introduced the Egain system in the first 10 properties, built in the 1990s, connected to group exchange plants. Following a successful test period, in 2016 the Management Board decided to connect a further 17 properties built in the 1970s and 1980s and connected to individual substations. Today the Egain Edge system operates in 33 buildings.
